Happy World Heritage Day 2026

April 18 is World Heritage Day and this year's theme is "Emergency Response for Living Heritage in Contexts of Conflicts and Disasters". All of us involved in the Ngaio Marsh House would like to acknowledge the heritage kaitiaki who are working to protect and preserve the world's heritage at this difficult time. We are all richer for the architectural, creative and artistic heritage that is distinctly different in every nation but also reminds us of our shared humanity.
