Ngaio Marsh House is planning to reopen to the public on 2 July 2023, a short time later than originally advertised. We apologise if this causes anyone any inconvenience.
Amongst other issues, we have been delayed by bad weather and COVID-19 and viral infections in our building team.
If you have enquired about a booking a tour prior to the 2 July we will be in touch to discuss options with you.
The good news is that the work is progressing well. The box bay window in the dining room is now complete and final finishing has commenced.
Trustee David Chambers, who is overseeing this work alongside our volunteer Property Manager Craig Sargison, said: "This work is an important is part of Ngaio Marsh House and Heritage Trust's commitment to fulfilling its kaitiaki (guardianship) role for this unique heritage property. We continue to work hard to safeguard Ngaio Marsh House and its collections for future generations.
"We look forward to welcoming visitors to the newly-restored Ngaio Marsh House from 2 July."
