Last days of Dame Ngaio exhibition - get in quick!

The exhibition is in the Te Pito Huarewa / Southbase Gallery

There's still another week to visit Christchurch Libraries' exhibition about Dame Ngaio Marsh, which closes on 27 November 2022.

The exhibition, at Christchurch's Central Library Tūranga, is a fascinating insight into the grand dame's life and features items that are rarely on display.

Rare programmes, handwritten notes and drawings, art, video archive and personal possessions worn and used by Dame Ngaio are among the items on display

The Trust was delighted to partner on the exhibition, lending a number of items for the display, along with other partners including Dame Ngaio's old school St Margaret's College and the drama society at the University of Canterbury, with whom she played such a pivotal role in its early days.

The exhibition is on the second floor of the library (60 Cathedral Square) and is available to visit for free any time the library is open.

Library opening hours

Tūranga is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday. He Hononga | Connection, Ground floor opens at 8am, all other floors open at 9am.
